It’s been more than a week (more than a year, actually) since the first installment of the Indie Wrestling Archive Match of the Week, but it’s back. Hopefully, it’s back on a more regular basis.

This match from the Archive is from the NWA Grandslam ’93 event held in Minneapolis, Minn., on April 17, 1993. The Lightning Kid (aka The 1-2-3 Kid, Syxx, X-Pac and Sean Waltman) had developed into one of the more known indie guys in the previous couple of years, especially after his Global Wrestling Federation matches against Jerry Lynn. Here, a pre-WWF Kid squared off against the one-and-only Sabu, who was seconded by Sir Oliver Humperdink.
