I knew my two-week streak in late January/early February was too good to be true, but the Indie Wrestling Archive Match of the Week is back.

This week’s match took place on June 2, 1996, in Baltimore, Maryland, and features Jim Powers facing Devon Storm for the Mid-Eastern Wrestling Federation. Storm is seconded by early ECW alum Damien Kane.

I always liked Storm and thought he was a talented guy who definitely deserved his shot in a major promotion. He did work for both the WWF and ECW before catching on as Crowbar in WCW. Powers kept a gig for many years with the WWF and WCW, primarily as enhancement talent.
