Few people in professional wrestling history have ever conveyed a sense of danger and pure insanity like “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer, but he encountered a worthy adversary in the summer of 1983 in “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.

In advance of their August 14 dog collar match at The Omni in Atlanta, Sawyer (with manager Paul Ellering) and Piper shared their training regimens on GCW television.

If I had seen this shit and lived within 300 miles of Atlanta, I would’ve bought a dozen tickets just for myself. Complete and utter lunacy.
